Our Grading Scale
Every lot we supply is graded against this published scale. Grades are assigned during inspection, not at listing time, and the grade mix of your lot is agreed in writing before shipment.
- Grade A (Mint/Excellent): No visible cosmetic defects. Screen is flawless. Battery health typically 90%+. Often described as "like new".
- Grade B (Good): Light signs of use. May have minor scratches on the frame or back. Screen is clean. Battery health 85–90%.
- Grade C (Fair): Visible wear including scratches, possibly minor dents. Screen may have micro-scratches visible under direct light. Battery health 80–85%.
See our grading guide for the full explanation of letter and descriptive grading systems used in the trade.
The 384-Step Inspection
Every unit passes our 384-step inspection before packing. The inspection covers display, housing, cameras, Face ID, battery, charging, microphone, speaker and full network function. Read the step-by-step walkthrough in our 384-step inspection article.
Battery Health Standard
Battery health is reported per unit. Apple treats 80% as the service threshold; for B2B purchasing we recommend setting your own floor at 85% so there is a margin between what you accept and what triggers a complaint downstream. Grade C lots may sit below that threshold at a discount, so the battery budget can be priced in. Details in our battery health guide.
Network and Data Security Checks
Before dispatch every unit is screened for iCloud activation lock, carrier lock and IMEI blacklist status, then wiped to factory state so no customer data ever leaves our facility. Read why B2B buyers must check iCloud lock and our network lock and compliance guide.
